      If we understand a disease better, we are better at treating it. Basically, it gives us a more specific target to treat. Another way to benefit people having to take a certain medicine, is to work towards “personalised medicine”, where the drug and treatment is adapted to fit the patient better. No two people are the same, which means their disease could be slightly different and the way they respond to a certain treatment could be different.
