• Question: I go to Wallington Girls too! Has being a female engineer impacted your opportunities , and do you believe you could make history with your discoveries?

      I think so. I sometimes think I have been given more opportunities because I am female. I am not very confident in my abilities though all the time so I might be being a bit unfair to myself.

      I don’t think being a female has really impacted my chances and opportunities. I don’t feel like I’ve been biased against, or for.
      .
      I would like to hope that I could make some sort of difference with my discoveries. Not sure I could make history, but if I can make a bit of a positive impact on people’s lives, I’d be very happy!

      I cannot comment on being female as I am not. But I have to say that female or male engineer, it doesn’t matter. As long as you have the ability to critically think and problem solve you can be anything and you would still be welcomed in engineering.
