Valerie what a diplomatic answer! that would be amazing if we could all win… or maybe we should all work together with the money. I love your lego microscope idea.
I dont know why I should win above the others. we all have great ideas and it’ll go to a great cause. If i were to win I’d spend the money on organising scientific outreach events in Nottingham with Pint of Science and 500 Women Scientists. -

Good answer Valerie, I agree, maybe the Wellcome trust should come up with a few more prizes!
I would use to money to build a kit our lab can use for school teaching to show the kind of work we do. I want to sow what engineers can do to help people with disabilities. This will include a ‘design a wheelchair’ and a ‘measuring the nervous system’ component. I will make the kit with the work experience students who spend time in our lab.

I think they should separate the ideas from the people. And you should vote for the best idea as oppose to the best person 🙂

Well, I’ve just been evicted so I’ll just say KEEP VOTING FOR ALL THE COOL STUFF THE OTHERS WANT TO DO 😀

Stephen Lang answered on 15 Nov 2017:
I am not worried about winning. I just want to help young people become well informed about their options where a career in engineering is concerned.
