Hi Ella. I think it already has a huge impact, from keeping people alive if they get seriously ill (scanners, surgical tools) to helping with rehabilitation (machines to help physios etc), to helping in their daily lives (wheelchairs, prosthetics, glasses(!)). But in the future it could help so much more! Engineering of personalised products at improved prices will impact many peoples lives as specialised equipment can make big differences. This will also effect worldwide, it seems crazy but in the world it’s thought that there are 110million people who need a wheelchair and don’t have one – this is one big problem medical engineering will help with.

      Hi Ella,
As Sean has said, one of the major changes will be personalised products. That way, everybody could get the help that will profit them the most!
