My favourite experiment we did in school was a day spent building racecars with small motors in, tested them after changing shapes and adding weights in different places to see different accelerations and top speeds. It was also sunny and outside so this may cloud my judgement slightly..

I didn’t get to do many experiments in school, unfortunately.

At uni we did make esters, which give some fruits a very typical smell. It was really cool to do some chemistry and then suddenly smell a pear fragrance coming out of the test tube. This was the one time we were allowed to stick our nose so close to the test tube (usually, this is not recommended and quite dangerous).

I use to love all the chemistry experiments. putting sodium in water and magnesium in fire. they’re the experiments that i’ve remembered.
